Information Session - National Instrument 51-101 Standards of Disclosure for Oil and Gas Activities
The Saskatchewan Securities Commission is holding an information session about National Instrument 51-101 Standards of Disclosure for Oil and Gas Activities as follows:

National Instrument 51-101 sets out rules for continuous reporting by public companies engaged in exploring for, developing or producing oil or gas. It will replace current National Policy 2-B Guide for Engineers and Geologists Submitting Oil and Gas Reports to
Canadian Provincial Securities Administrators. The Commission, along with other members of the Canadian Securities Administrators, have published National Instrument 51-101 for comment for a period ending on April 30, 2002.
Henry Lawrie and Stephen Murison of the Alberta Securities Commission (ASC) will present information at the meeting on March 19. Henry Lawrie was Chair of the Oil and Gas Task Force established by the ASC to make recommendations for disclosure requirements on oil
and gas companies. Stephen Murison, legal counsel with the ASC, was a member of the Task Force and developed the national instrument which incorporates the recommendations of the Task Force.
