General Ruling/Order 31-803 Extends Time Periods under MI 31-102 and MI 33-109

On July 11, 2003, the Director of the Securities Division of the Saskatchewan Financial Services Commission made General Ruling/Order 31-803 Extending Time Periods Under Multilateral Instrument 31-102 and 33-109 (“GRO 31-803”).

GRO 31-803 grants exemptions from the provisions of Multilateral Instruments 31-102 National Registration Database (“MI 31-102”) and 33-109 Registration Information (“MI 33-109”) extending the time in which registrants are required to file certain information under the transitional provisions of MI 31-102 and MI 33-109.  The time periods have been extended from May 30, 2003 until November 15, 2003.

These time periods were first extended until September 30, 2003 under General Ruling/Order 31-802 made April 30, 2003.  GRO 31-803 repeals GRO 31-802 and further extends the time periods to November 15, 2003.

GRO 31-803 also grants a continuing exemption for registered firms and registered individuals from filing certain forms under MI 31-102 and MI 33-109 where certain changes to an individual’s personal information do not affect the individual’s suitability for registration or status as a non-registered individual.
