Amendments to National
Instrument 51-102 and related forms, National Instrument 52-108 and
National Instrument 81-106 come into force on July 4, 2008
The Securities
Commission (Adoption of National Instruments) Amendment
Regulations, 2008 (No. 5) that adopt
amendments to National Instrument 51-102 Continuous Disclosure
Obligations and Form 51-102F3 Material Change Report,
National Instrument 52-108 Audit Oversight and National
Instrument 81-106 Investment Fund Continuous Disclosure come into force on July 4, 2008.
The amendments add a
new exemption from the information circular requirements in
NI 51-102 for certain proxy solicitations made to the public by
broadcast, speech or publication and revise the existing
exemption in s.9.5 of NI 51-102 so that it applies to a person or
company that solicits proxies, not just reporting issuers.
