Amendments to
Multilateral Instrument 33-109 Registration Information and
Multilateral Instrument 31-102 National Registration Database
came into force on May 15, 2007.
The Securities
Commission (Adoption of National Instruments) Amendment
Regulations, 2007 (No.2)
came into
force on May 15, 2007. The regulations adopt amendments to
Multilateral Instrument 33-109 Registration Information and
Multilateral Instrument 31-102 National Registration Database.
The amendments
are minor housekeeping changes that reflect Quebec’s participation
in the National Registration Database, end the confusion over the
term “non-registered individual”, provide some relief to
registrants hamstrung by two deadlines that are too short, ensure
the regulator is kept abreast of changes in the registrant’s
financial year end and its auditor and clarify the
responsibilities each firm bears for the information submitted.
